Same Picture 24 hours apart

The first image is an illusion, and better for it. It makes that little pond look like a majestic lake by fooling my perception of scale. The second image shows me how boring the actual location is, despite some interesting cloud formations.

The colours are also a league beyond anything in the second image.

if these are 24 hours apart, why are they different, if they occupy the same reference in time...

having said that, #1 is very nice, #2 not so much.
