Lakeside Blue

This was really a very blue scene due to the fog and extreme overcast. Liked it very much, but I also like the BW conversion. It really brings out the lightness of the fog and the moving waves, which create a nice curvy line down the shore.

I like this as well. Perfect shutter speed as well, good motion in the water without looking like a fog. Very nice.

I think it's very pleasing, JMR. It's got that combination of characteristics that you do so well - mystical yet familiar.

Many thanks everyone. The original was so blue as if a filter was placed on it. It was really overcast and then suddenly the fog started to envelop the shoreline.

Great capture, I like the retreating water and the effect it makes to the composition!

Very nice! I like how you caught a bit of the flow of the water and maintained the details all around. The b&w treatment suits this very well!
