Two from today...
Posted By: scott-devon, 07-26-2009, 08:54 PM

I took a trip to the reserve I used to visit often and found that the sloughs had completely dried up. There was a noticeable lack of birds to be seen or heard. Our drought is really affecting the wildlife. Having nice sunny days is pleasant but we need rain badly.

A sparrow (clay coloured sparrow?)

And a backlit flower in the woods. Shot handheld so some motion blur but I liked the lighting.

Good effort.
You've isolated the subjects real well, although the subjects suffer from insufficient sharpness.
Keep at it!

I like the setting on the second one. Was the wind blowing a bit as this can effect sharpness in both. JIM
