Hello,
Flamingos are not common in Puerto Rico. There is only one location at the southwest coast where some of them stop on their migration route, but technically, there are no flamingos living here.
A few months ago, this lonely flamingo made the headlines. Nobody is sure how it showed up at a beach in the north coast but there are some theories: It may have gotten lost while migrating, or it was hurt or ill and made an "emergency landing" or it may have been on board a merchant ship. Whatever the reason, the truth is it is quite a novelty and people line up to see it
Come on, don't be shy!
