Not quite the problems you're thinking of...

Both are heavily cropped, and the hummers are at 100% of the actual image size.

Landing Lights - I wish the red reflection from the feeder wasn't there, but you can't be choosy on clear head shots like this, when it's taken at F/6.7, 1/125 sec., ISO 400

Perched and Ready - like a little king on his iron throne. Taken at F/5.6, 1/250 sec., ISO 400

I could watch these "acrobats of the air" for hours...

Love the first one - the feeder is an issue yeah I agree maybe some ps and clone tool -
