Fires, and Windstorms
Posted By: little laker, 07-30-2009, 04:17 PM

These are no where near my best photographs, however we've had some nasty windstorms and forest fires since the last time I posted.
I was stuck at work most of the time, which is probably a good thing with bad lungs, however I did manage a few shots.

The sun, hiding behind a wall of smoke.

The valley was filling with smoke.

The wind was terrible, making things worst. I messed up on this shot, but it'll still give you an idea how strong it was.

This boat was stranded, after a wave flooded it's motor.

There was a rock wall right below me, so even though they were close to shore it would have been stupid to try swimming.

The fires are still burning, but are contained for now anyways.

Stu, a beautiful series of photos of unnerving subjects.
