Fun with DA 50-135mm

I was out walking with the kids and snapped this,Im loving this lens it looks great at 100% crop but I cant seem to upload it.

Iso 100 108mm F2.8 1/200 sec

Heres another with the Sigma 70-200 HSM,love the colours in this one.

Well done with these.
The colours pop out reasonably well and the images are decently sharp.
Fist one's quite high key having all the highlights close to or actually being clipped to preserve the detail of the bee, though the highlights do distract me a little from the subject.
Second one's also OK though has those distracting elements of the grass blade and other flower in the right side - without these, the subjects would stand out a lot bolder. It's the old photographic adage - a photo should contain a subject, a background, and no more.

Thanks Ash,would a faster shutter speed in image 1 have helped with the highlights?
I have a problem with composition (ala image 2),I've still got a P&S head on rather than spending a second or 2 thinking about what I want to achieve.I might write in on my hand.
