Cedar Waxwing
Posted By: 8540tomg, 08-01-2009, 08:54 AM

Went for walk with the M 400/5.6 today. This Cedarwax Wing stood still long enough to get himself shot.

Thanks Douglas.

Much appreciated. They could probably have been improved by using a polarizer.

Tom, perfer #1. The lighting looks dead on. Well done. Always enjoy your bird shots. JIM

Thanks Jim. I like the first one as well. I find shooting any bird to be a challenge as all my long lenses are old K and M series manual focus. Always lots of throw aways with the occasional keeper or two.

Cheers

Thanks Scott, J. Scott and dcmsox2004.

I see the Cedar Waxwings flying about the area from time to time. They are an attractive species. It looks like someone dipped their tails in yellow paint.

Top shot.
You've done well to get it in such detail.
