Really beautiful shots, Jim. Very well done. I like them all.
Reminds me that here in Australia our bushfire season is coming very fast, just hope it is nothing like last year, with so many deaths and property loss etc etc.

Really nice photos! I like the first one most. Wonderful mood, reflection of the sun on the water and those mountains in the mist.

This one is Pitt Lake and yes I have shot here a lot. Love this area and this is also where most of my herons shots came from. Oh, I am ordering the 100-300 in September bud. JIM

Nice series JIM, but for my taste the sun in the first is too high and too close to the edge. But the other two shots are just great (though looking longer, I'd be tempted to crop both of them).

I really love the expert framing in the second shot, especially the lower half. You managed to get those two twigs or blades of grass in there, and the bubbles, and all that silty water. Perhaps next time (if you plan on returning) you can frame less of the pointless water and more interesting mountains, sky, and reflections. But hell, maybe you're seeing something of interest in that water that I'm not, like the bubbles.

I appreciate you commenting on your dislikes of the photo's I Posted. I guess they call this sort of thing "Tough Love" Since my images are not up to your standard, at least the next time you see a thread from me, you can just pass on by.

Nice images Jim. You are doing well with all the smoke and fog atmospheric effects. I personally like the framing in the 2nd image since it provides more "depth" to the image.

I was thinking the same on that image though maybe a little lower prospective. Thanks Mike. JIM
