Queen Anne's Lace
Posted By: JMR, 08-04-2009, 08:36 PM

The meadows of High Park are rife with wildflowers and today I was inspired by Queen Anne's Lace. We begin with a cluster to give you an idea of the surroundings looked like. All techniques were done in-camera. If you try these kind of shots, try to avoid sharpening the images, as it tends to ruin the bokeh.

Well aren't you the soft-focus specialist on the forum!
Beautiful images with such creamy bokeh.
Thanks for sharing.

JMR, you really have a look that is your own. It goes beyond just soft focus though. I can see the first photo in a post and know it is one of yours... Not many folks I can say that about. Keep pushin' it.

I like the last the best, as I am a big muted green and lavender fan.

Thanks. Now 'creamy,' that is a good description for bokeh.

Thanks. It is true the world is full of over-saturated imagery. But as you know, the muted or understated look is often overlooked and bypassed for what 'sells.'
