A delicate balance about 80 ft above the river
Posted By: IowaBoy, 08-05-2009, 11:46 AM

This RR trestle was built maybe 100 years ago and inspired many local legends and many police calls to remove trespassing teens. On a lovely Sat aft. I got there just in time to catch the train as it crossed the Des Moines River.17-55 kit lens with polarizing filter.

I remember that trestle well, drove by it many times on Highway 30 and viewed it from the train ride from Boone. Neat area. Lived in Carroll for 11 years.

Glad to hear from a former Iowan. Glad the photo evoked some memories of something besides cornfields Thanks for commenting!
