This is an awesome shot. I would have preferred if the front tip of the gun was in focus too and that your friend and the gun was pointed straight into the camera. **I know it is dangerous** but it would have looked like the gun was pointed at ME!!!

...I too wanted a little more gun barrel in the frame but as a card carrying member of the gun club he veto'd the shot for safety reasons!...Something about bullets going through my face or something!

For an european this kind of image from USA is troubling

. I´m not judging you, it´s only an impression. I like the the pic as you take it, pointing out of the lense. It´s more candid.

I took photos on a range once, but I wouldn't go anywhere downrange of the firing line.
