Trip to Bermuda
Posted By: creoleart, 08-10-2009, 01:45 PM

My husband and I spent 3 days in Bermuda 2 months ago, and I wanted to share some of the pictures I took while we were there.

Nice set. Lovely colors. Are some of those HDR shots?

No but I did play with the saturation on some of those with the sky and water using the brush in Lightroom. So it almost makes it look like they are hdr. That brush is fun to use.

Shot #6 looks almost HDR. I like it.

That last shot looks very, very tasty. Which reminds me I need breakfast right now.

Hmmmm... might be time of year as I've only ever seen 1 down there and it was dead on beach.
What beack where they stung at?

Great pics! What lens did you use for the sail boat and the cathedral?

I used my kit lens 18-55.

I can't remember the name of the beach but it was right down by our hotel, The Fairmont Southampton.

I realize this is probably the sharpest kit lens ever made but those pictures look incredible. Any sharpening in PP?

I don't remember doing any sharpening in PP on the cathedral shots. They came out pretty clean. All I did was saturate the sky. I was quite impressed that those turned out that way.

Sandrine, this a great set of pictures; it gives me a feel for what Bermuda is like far better than the shots I've seen in magazines. Now, of course, I want to go.

Sandrine,

Very nice set of pictures... if you didn't tell, I would have thought a few of those are HDR shots.. I like the colour... though rich yet still quite natural. Hope I will visit that place some day.

Really nice to see another using the 18-55 to it's full potential;-)

Love the shot with the lightpost overlaying the church.

Cheers

Dylan
