So the vacation has had a big ol' damper put on it but I'm managing to shoot anyway. Stress management? Anyway, sharing a bit of what I'm seeing with my forum pals who have been so generous with their well wishes. So I'm not going to be selfish with my photography and put some out there for all to see and hopefully enjoy at least a little. So. Here's some from NYC, Statue of Liberty/ferry leg. Colors/exposures may be a tad off as I've processed on two different laptops. I'll fix on home computer if I plan to do anything more with them other than post to flickr.

and finally, I HAD to show off this one, a BIF actually in focus kinda sorta. A personal first.

Well done mel,
Do enjoy the holiday - you deserve it.
Lovely captures too.
The seagull one is actually quite nicely shot.
Thanks for sharing.

I like very much the first one. The sailboat poniting at the modern city, like a pirate's boarding

Thanks all. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day to go out to Ellis Is. and the Statue. It was beautiful. Thanks for the comments and for looking.

Wonderful shots Mel! I especially like the upside down back flipping dancer. Great timing on that one.

Thanks Mike. That was a group of guys breakdancing just on the edge of central park on Saturday. I really like NYC. There's always something interesting going on.

Well the upset doesn't look like it's put you off your game Mel.

THey look a little dark though (on my monitor anyway).

Lol. Thanks Gary. Most of these were the day before the robbery. The breakdancer was later the day of. Most of the rest of what I shot that day was junk.

Really they look dark? They almost look too bright on mine and I darkened the brightness to about half the max. But like I said, laptop. If i decide to do more with them I'll rework on my desktop.

Well, #1 and #3, sorry about the blanket statement.
