Having recently acquired a new-to-me PZ-70 (under-rated, much nicer than the frequently touted SFXn) I decided to try it out with a many-years-expired roll of Velvia. Over the course of 2-3 walks I was able to get through 36 shots (so much slower than digital, one of the reasons I like film). The camera certainly seemed capable, paired with two of my best lenses - DA 40 and FA 50 macro. Love having Av mode available with the DA lens - my MZ-S can't do that! I blew a few shots, mostly of bees (too slow shutter speed or not enough DOF) reminding me of why I like digital shooting. Still, there is something about the analog images that are quite nice. And although I know these are not earth shaking, and perhaps can be further improved, I thought I would share them as developed and scanned by the lab to show off the lovely colors and unusual cast of expired Velvia. Please feel free to contribute your examples as well, and any comments are of course welcome.
