Chrome Glorious Chrome
Posted By: UltraWide, 08-13-2009, 03:12 AM

The South Aussie Pentaxians ventured the National Motor Museum last Sunday for a day out. Actually a day IN due to the wintry weather. The light was dim but the cars and the company was great!!!

Anyway, back to the chrome...

A touch of brass...

and the odd nameplate...

Nice shots and nice cars (& bike)... Especially like the closeup of the old carbide lantern headlights. Ain't it great how far technology has come (those thangs stank). I also got a laugh out of your title... made me think of the song "Food, Glorious Food" from the musical "Oliver."

I can just see a bunch of young car fans dancing around these cars singing...

"Chrome, glorious chrome, so shiny and pretty...."

LOL

I'm still sorting through my shots from the day......

BTW, loved that Dodge too! All that chrome and sharp angles!

As Mike says, if its a musical, then we have did have a few young'uns dancing around......

Cheers

Thanks for the kind comments guys.

It really is worth a visit if you are in SA and you have petrolhead tendencies!

For MRRiley: They also have an extensive collection of bikes from Europe (Mostly British), North America and Japan.
