Nice Little WORM

K10d F5.6 ISO 100 EXP 1/90sec
He was about half an inch long. I only had the pentax kit lens with me.

The shot is very nice. However (and it's not your fault) but the Caterpillar seems to blend into the background, making the shot some what contrasty. As for the rest the focus is spot on and nice DOF.

The blue stripe on the side and the keyhole markings on the top of each segment identify it as a Forest Tent Caterpillar. We have had several major infestations of the wee beasties over the years. They eat everything green and leafy in their path and leave nothing but tiny poop pellets behind. (Can you tell I am not their greatest fan?) Nice pic tho.
