Give the high ISO, these are very clean.
WB is off, though (too warm), and #2 doesn't appear to be quite in focus.
Buuuut, I take it you posted these to show off the K-7's superior high ISO noise control.
Point proven...

Yep...1600 on the K-7 is the new 400. Love this camera.

Yes i'm really impressed, out of the camera it was a pretty nice shot, just a bit dull. Raw is magic what it can do love it, can't believe I never used it in the past.

I should say there is absolutely NO noise reduction in these photos.

True, I actually took the photos at 10mp as opposed to the max, personally I think 14.6mp is an overkill.

This photo is pretty much original size I just put put photos together without any resizing of the originals.

What settings in camera do you guys normally shoot in raw with?

Tonight I set my camera to landscape mode and turned the sharpenss down a little. The raw straight outta the camera looked a tad dull but once I tweaked it in CS4 really came out, I did up the sharpness a little to also I made the vingetting more appartent for artistic effect. The DA40 is a wonderful lense.

I don't have anything set beyond what the camera is set to by default concerning RAW. but im currently using a *istD, which other than size is a world away from the K-7.

i thought raw was always max 14MP... the adjustment for quality is only for JPG ??

Nah looks like you can set how many MP you want in raw, the quality in JPEG is another thing all together.

BTW I see you have a Super 530 flash, how do you find it? i'm planning to get one next week.

doh then lately i'm been shotting in DNG RAW 10MP lol...

Sigma Super 530 flash works fine on K-7 as it did on K200D Manual is a bit sparse, but fiddling around some should do it

No. You can't shoot raw at 10MP. I just set my camera to raw and then to 2MP. It produces a 14.6MB file (which is the same size as the 14MP files). I believe that is there in the menu for when you change to raw+ and jpg.

The sharpness etc are also JPG settings. Raw is raw (except for high ISO NR).
