Highway of dreams.....
Posted By: MoiVous, 08-15-2009, 06:46 AM

Following on from Ultrawide's South Aussie Pentaxian Chrome Glorious Chrome thread, here's my take on a fun day......(warning - many images!)

Click on thumbnails to view at full resolution.....

A bit of metal sculpture - isn't that what its all about? This is made from car parts!

A classic - need I say more? But I'd love to see it great great grand child the Veyron

And we need to remember those that put out the fires in our country...

And a classic Aussie car - the FJ Holden

followed by classic American angles!

More classic Americana

and for those with motor sport aspirations - Bernie Ecclestone raced this car (yes - he was a racer before he became the master of F1) before it was raced by many others.....

Where would the free world be without James Bond and the Aston Martin DB6?

or this Italian beauty - where can I get one?

Lets head back the future - someone said that the movie studios own more of these than anyone else

Lets not forget the classic motorcycles either

and like the Indian (my father in law had an early one without this magnificent hand tooling etc)...

and its logo....

and the figure head....love this shot.

And finally, the crash test dummy....

and the classic Sunbeam cake mixer like my mum had in the 1960's (how did that get in here )

Hope you liked the trip down memory lane

BTW, most of these were hand held on a dull wintry day indoors - thanks to Pentax for built in SR!

Cheers

Quite a spectacle.
The DeLorean looks a little plain without the flux capacitor and accessories...

Looked like fun.
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Matt - sorry you missed it! Do we get to see some of yours from the weekend before?

Thanks Kerrowdown - your support and praise is always appreciated by all in the forum.

It was a bit tricky - and when I looked back at the exposures most were slower than 1/30s. It amazes me how well the camera worked its magic with SR!

Cheers Ultrawide - I suppose the difference is how we perceive the image on the same subject. If the fundamentals are there then there is no perfect way - many paths lead to an outcome.......that was a bit deep....

I stand corrected - I think the DB6 was the car on its left. BTW, If you ever get to our part of the world this Motor Museum is worth a visit and you can have check out the other classics, along with our wine and foodie culture.
