Hello All,

This is a first attempt at "Macro". This picture is taken with the Quantaray 70-300 mm which is a rebranded Tamrom 70-300 mm. Granted this lens is not a true macro, but wanted to know if this shot works!!.

That was one of the first lenses I purchased and if I remember corectly it did a fair job at 1:2 close-focus. I'ld say keep at it and you'll get the hang of it. Get out and try some flower shots or something in avalible light. I think on this one the flash kind of messes it up.

It really is a decent consumer telephoto and its 'macros' aren't bad either - you've shown that here.
