Engagement ring
Posted By: attack11, 08-17-2009, 04:59 AM

I gave this to my fiance on Friday. I had already asked her to marry me using her promise ring, but I did again just to make sure

Shot with my F135mm/f2.8 in the golden hours of sunlight. With over 20 diamonds, it's got crazy reflection/refraction and is kinda hard on the camera sensor.

Don't make the mistake of thinking you really have input into the wedding planning.....just smile and wave (and sign the cheques).

A happy wife is a happy life.

Ahhh, a smart man, keep your expectations low and you'll likely get what you want, but that's no guarantee.

Congratulations. If you found the right partner, it makes life better in every way.

Congratulations to the two of you Jason, that is a very nice ring.
Might I suggest a B&W conversion for the pic? I think it would really make the ring 'pop'.

i'll do ya one better and clean my sensor so i can get a good shot at f32 to get all the shimmers from the 20+ stones. it's quite unreal irl, and i'm pretty sure that prime can capture most of the wow.

a different kind of shot of the ring. f2.8 with the same lens, natural light at sunset.

During my wedding, I was allowed 15 minutes during which I could have whatever music I wanted. Turned out to be a bigger popular success than I expected

Congratulations to the two of you Jason and this is a real nice image. As for the reception, sit back, relax and just let it happen. I did 53 years ago and it still works.
