Few Butterfly Shots

Took a break from planting new shrubs and such in a new bed over the weekend to get these. Not sure of the type, but I thought the feather appearance was kinda cool!

Hi Greg, Great butterfly pics. I'm not sure, I haven't collected butterflies in many many decades, but if I'm not mistaken I think that is a Mourning Cloak butterfly. In any event, nice shots.

Thanks Salty and Kjetil. I was just happy it sat still long enough for me to go and have the wife bring me the camera.

The lens was the Sigma 100-300 F/4. We've got an elusive bob-cat in the area and that's all I've been after for the last few weeks, so the Sigma stays on the K100!
