B&W Conversion

I thought I would play around with an old photo and see if it worked in B&W. I think I like the color version better but I think it works. Color version in PPG.

Works for me - this shot is terrific; I can see why the color version made into PPG, but I really like your conversion.

i still think some pics really benefit, become transformered, when they become b+w compositions... this to me, is one of them.... super...

Well done - quite a majestic capture.
B&W works fine - have you tried out what it looks like with other coloured filters for comparison?
Though the way it looks now is just fine.

works well in BW also. so sharp and the water shimmers

Thank you Jer, I really like the soft pastel colors in origianl and it has some good contrast to make the B&W work.

Thank you Ash, no I haven't tried any other filters but thats a good idea. Could be interesting.

Stunning shot!

It probably works in B&W brilliantly because its so sharp and monochromatic. And the water looks like a rippled mirror - silvery in its own right - amazing work all round!
