Beautiful Shot steven, however, color would have made more justice to this shot

Quite an impressive image Steve.

What lens did you use?

BTW, perhaps you could post the colour version as well for comparison.

Cheers

Very nice! I for one don't want to see a color version... The B&W conversion is very well done to my eye, and since that's what the artist presented - done deal. The bold contrast has an almost Ansel Adams like quality to it for me - nicely done!

the color version may be a little disappointing...
When I took this photo, there air was full of water vapor. So the contrast is a little low.
Personally, I prefer the B&W version.

the lens i use is 18-55mm/f3.5-5.6

Thank you for your appreciation. In fact, I'm always trying to imitate the tone of Ansel Adams, but at most of time I find it too hard.

Both versions are nice, but I prefer the colour shot. The B+W looks a little to "artifical" to me (but that's just my personal taste). Thanks for posting and welcome!

B&W is just slightly too dark for my taste (cant believe I said that) but as for my opinion, its better than the colour. great shot though!

I prefer the less-contrasty color version, but like both very much.
