Cropping too much out of a picture???
Posted By: MoparFreak69, 08-19-2009, 01:34 PM

I know when you crop it is supposed to remove some of the picture, but I think I got a little carried away this time.
Any ideas what went wrong???

Yeah, you removed half of the sausage roll, you dill!
Now go 'crop' the rest of it - food isn't just supposed to sit there and look pretty!

Cropping needs to be proportional. Here, IMHO, the beverage ought to be cropped at least as much as the entree.

I think it started to go sideways at the moment of exposure.

The German beer looks untouched, that's what's wrong.

That was only the first of 3, have to make sure the beer lasts through the meal. Drink too many and the shots start looking a bit lopsided and tilted Lol.

Looks like you took a virtual bite out of your original photo. I'd heard the unreleased Photoshop Beta will allow you to do this, but didn't believe it till I saw it with my own eyes..... pretty neat. How did you get hold of a copy so early on? I wasn't aware it had been released yet. I'm looking forward to trying out these virtual progression techniques on provocatively photographed women.

Try cropping with your software next time - the mouth crop is really hard to undo and it never retains the original detail
