new kitty / DA70 / ZX-L film
Posted By: Nesster, 08-24-2009, 04:34 PM

I was getting worried, very little Pentax shooting lately for me.

However here's something. ZX-L loaded with CVS ASA200 film. DA 70 Limited. AF200T flash, in TTL mode.

All works together.

Great shot. All the face in focus and everything else blurs nicely. Film definitely has rich look I am not used to.

You didn't have to put him in the fridge for a bit to make him hold still like that did you?

Nesster, thats beautiful..! Guess the Kitty was puzzled with the DA and film combination and stood steady..

Great pose and a cute kitty..!

LOL, he was puzzled about that- was like, DUDE, you really want that digital lens on a film cam?

My wife took this one of his feet, same lens & setup. The camera obviously figures flash better when there's more midtone surface in the frame.

It's funny I don't like cats and even an apparently cute kitten can't change my mind

I know that the world has gone digital, but I still think a film image is better. Thats why I hold on to my Spotmatic, ME Super, A3000, P3n, Pz-10, Pz-20, and ZX-M.

Very nice shots, my son brought home a kitten a few months ago and it has yet to slow down enough for my ability to capture a shot....
