I think the DOF is just a tad too narrow, and it definitely would have looked more interesting without the bottom leaves and stems in it.

Nice attempt.
Colours are good and the subject's isolated well.
Only the rosebud itself, being the subject, is not in sharp focus from what I can see here.
Stop down a little more next time and see the results...

A nice attempt, however the bud doesnt appear to be sharp. The colors are good, but the leaves attract the eye!!
