Just goofing around learning some basics.
Trying to control ambient and shadow placement. Many lessons!

First one has the overdone HDR look - too posterised.
Where's the application of the multiflash here? Not depicting any series of motion that I can see...
Oh, I think I get it - just trying to balance out the light and shadows - a tough experiment.

Second one just looks like an ambient light exposure.
Your hand is reflecting too much of the window light!

Yeah. Just trying to balance out the light. Learning how to aim. Building up the lighting by bits. Was spontaneous. One of the most important parts of the process for me is starting up. I have most of the gear now and so need to set up shoots. Noticed I have a high initial reluctance... then I get more and more curious and work the skills. This weekend I will set up all the classic flash combination I can. I have a dummy that will step in until I get it and then I will. Will post.

BTW that bright light on my hand is from a gridded snoot. The window light at that time was more around my knees.

This one shows the effects of the 3 flashes and ambient.

Many lessons. One is that I under exposed the ambient. Then from there needed to rebuild the relationships.
