Lucy shot, louzy composition
Posted By: Rense, 08-27-2009, 04:57 AM

Well, I tried to shoot flying bees. It's not that easy, and I don't have one real good photo until now, but this one was a lucy shot. Only the bee is flying out, instead of flying in . Well I'll keep trying, considdering the good:bad ratio, I have about 2376 to go until I will be satisfied....

Shot with the A 100/4 macro with flash tube

And a crop of the photo above

EDIT: Of course I wanted to type "Lucky shot...", and I see the typo only now....

Catching anything in flight with a manual focus lens is remarkable.

Thanks Tom. This bee cooperated by indicating he wanted to fly away, but recomposing was impossible...

I agree, with a manual lens and to get this close and sharp is an excellent effort.
Well done.

It's the great detail that makes the image striking.
So the bee didn't do his part in posing, but it's still an awesome capture.
Well done.
