New member, my first photos with the K-7
Posted By: the swede, 08-30-2009, 11:38 AM

Hello, im new here and thought i should present myself with the first, kinda good, pictures i took this spring/summer with my K-7 and the DA*50-135. I got the K-7 at the release and im very happy with both camera and the DA* lens. Now the camera is in for repair for "green line" and the first 3 pictures below has one, though very very faint.

Exif in pictures, very litle PP done, but i'll mention some. Bare in mind the Photobucket compression. Thank you for viewing!

These three came out this way, nothing radical done to them in PP
Muschroom

Lily

Give me Light!

Next set is from the butterfly museum in Stockholm, not much PP

Kinda romantic, though they were at it for several hours! (if "thats" what they're doing)

Granma! A true Icon of life. Some PP in Camera Raw.

Dark and blonde. Some PP in Camera Raw, mistake in blown out shirt.

A very comon tree in sweden. Much PP

This one is taken with the 18-55 WR lens. Much PP

Still here? Ok, last one i also with the 18-55. Another Passion of mine.

My Gal´

Välkommen till forumet! Fin bildserie.

Edit: We were talking about the Butterfly museum, how it was to capture them with the light there, and the damn moist.

Tack!

It is certainly a moist place. Like a fast visit to the tropics. Last time I shot with the DFA100 macro there. Have you tried the DA*50-135 with a +1 or +2 lens on it? It cuts down the close focus distance so that it works better for macro.

No, havent thougt about that yet

Acctually i need to get an FA100 macro this fall/winter, does not grow on trees though Or wait for a new release DA*macro (unlikely).....

There is the Tamron 90, but i rather have a 100 or more.

If you can do without AF the Tamron adaptall 2 SP90/2.5 (macro 1:2) is a lot of macro lens for modest money. Dedicated 2x converter or tube brings you to 180mm/f5 (1:1) or 90mm/f3.75 (1:1) respectively. That was my first dedicated macro. Now I'm mainly using the DFA100 with a 1.7x converter to get the extra reach for shy bugs.
