A View of St. Pauls.
Posted By: paulyrichard, 08-30-2009, 12:33 PM

In Cheapside London, no buildin' is allowed to exceed or eclipse the height of St. Pauls, and therefore obstruct the view of it. So, this is my take on St. Pauls.
By the way, I forgot to mention that this shot was taken with a different camera, my apologies.

Slightly St. Pauls

Really like this photo with the contrast between old and new designs. Beautifully composed. JIM

Just brilliant.
What strikes me is the tonal contrasts between the sky and the modern wall.
Well done.

Yeah, the contrast in styles is almost jarring - really smart photograph. I'm impressed, Pauly.

I like the tonal quality of this shot Pauly! If I may ask, was this originally taken with b/w film or was it digital and changed to b/w in PP? Nice photo, I've been struggling with b/w from my digital photos I appreciate your work.

Thanks a lot, guys.

Thanks Jim, all my shots I post are shot as digital RAW colour images, and then converted to B&W usin' Lightroom.
I don't own any film cameras anymore.

Thanks Pauly, I use Corel Paintshop Pro Photo X2 Deluxe for my PP. I guess that my problem is that I print my photos with an HP Photosmart D7360 printer to check them out. I usually end up with photos that are somewhat dark, so I don't really know what kind of tonality that I actually end up with. I do like your work, it looks very professional.

Two beautiful buildings for entirely different reasons. Each part of your image obscures the beauty of the other to some extent, negating that beauty by doing so.

No it is not, I suspect that is something I should do, how do I go about it?
