This is my first pic post!

Took a vacation to the Maritimes in July. One of my favourite pics ended up being in Quebec City (although got some great shots in PEI and Nova Scotia as well). This was shot on the Plains of Abraham with the Chateau Frontenac in the background. Some post processing to take the saturation out of most colors except green and cropped.

Shot on my K10d with the A 50 f1.7 at F8, 1/125, ISO 100.

Love Quebec City.

I recall when I first looked at the Plains of Abraham from the Citadel I was surprised how small the battlefield seemed to be. I also couldn't figure out why Montcalm ever left the fort. That didn't work out too well for him did it? I guess I expected the site of a battle that changed the course of world history to be larger for some reason.
