Traffic on the Bay Bridge Panorama
Posted By: Eastern Shore Charlie, 08-30-2009, 03:31 PM

I got stuck on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge last Wednesday going home from work and had my camera. I took it take the picture of a crazy looking Miata at work. Only had my A 50mm (Damn I wish I had my wide angle....) so being no where to go....I took some shots of the fun...Not the usual pretty pano...but thought it showed true life here in MD sometimes going home....This shot was hand held with 5 shots...never found out what the problem was and was only stuck about a half hour...usually it is much worse

Good stuff, it's almost an abstract panorama.

How much is it to cross the bridge now? I think it was $11 or $12 when we left in 2005.

so nice to have the camera handy, especially when traffic is at a stand still. nice pano give you a feel of the frustration of traffic on a very scenic bridge

I always think while sitting in this how ironic it is that I am paying for this

I live on the eastern shore and fight this traffic all the time during the summer, but once I get home it is worth it...thanks

The Chesapeake Bay has 2 bridges this is the little one up north near Annapolis. It is 2 bucks...the one you are thinking about is the Chesapeake Bay Bridge tunnel.

Usually do not bring my camera on these hot August days...having the camera helped the frustration go away...still wished I had my wide angle

Unusual panorama, but very good. I could feel my frustration rise just looking at it. Well done.

Nice photo. Always nice to have your camera handy, even in traffic. My wife constantly asks, why do you keep your camera with us in the front seat.....I'll just show her this pano.

As for the traffic, sorry, can't relate. I think it would drive me nuts. I'll just have to live with my 6 km (3.7mi) commute.

Hey Charlie - congrats for making the best of a bad situation. As others have said, the image radiates the frustration that arises in these situations. Clever stuff.
