Ladder falls. Western Washington

The wife and I took a drive up to Ross lake, Ronda showed me a set of falls that I had long for got about.

It was a great evening.

Just thought I would share one.




The second is a modification of the first

A little dark methinks...

But it is nice other than that. water looks nice and silky.

Very nice John, I agree that it's a little underexposed but I think that works in the shot's favour. I think it might lose some of that 3D effect if it were brighter.

Very nice John, i like it a lot, it has atmosphere and some attitude.

Thanks for the comment, I bracketed this shot so I have one lighter, but of the three I liked this one the best with minimal effort, I guess I gravitate a little to the dark side.

Thanks Gary, I'll take a better look when I get home tonight. I will post some other's up later. We got home late, and this one jumped out at me the most, so I posted it.

Sorry Grant, nothing long made it out of my bag yesterday, I was scarred, bad scarred It was the 16-50 for everything I shot. That 200 will see some work before I pack it up and send it on it's way, I promise.

Impressive shot - the "texture" (or lack thereof) of the water is terrific.

I personally prefer the darker version.
