That being said, here's a little bokeh/general OOF blur comparison that I did between three lenses.
Super Takumar 50mm f/1.4
Super Takumar 55mm f/1.8
Super Takumar 85mm f/1.9
They are all hand-held, all at ISO 400 on my Canon 40D, and I moved the chair I was sitting in (bracing myself against the back/armrests) to get approximately the same field of view. All wide-open, and I substituted the un-used lenses into the scene when I changed them out. Post-processing is importing the .CR2 files into Lightroom, hitting the "Zeroed" preset with "Daylight" for the color temp, and exporting at 800 pixels on the long side.
It's not a perfect test (tripod/remote release/static scene/lower ISO, etc) but it gets the point across, IMO.
Also, the first 55mm is slightly front-focused, but I didn't notice it until I had already taken down the set and moved everything, so it stayed that way.
