Posted By: jaitas, 09-01-2009, 05:35 AM

Hi

So i'e been busy taking pictures. Of course I have lurked here in the forums but never found enough energy to post. So now behold, few picked ones from spring 09 -> summer 09.

Constructive Critique very much hoped for. I have been photographing as a hobby now for one year and a quarter I think.

Click images to view them little larger at my picasa account.

Spring frost | Pentax K10D - K135 f2.5 | Have to say that I love this lens. It's so sharp and the colour rendition is priceless. Only negative as an old lens its quite prone to flare and direct light.

Old munitions factory at Lapua, Finland | Pentax K10D - DA 35 macro ltd | Another of my favourite lenses! ultimately sharp, and what colours! This munitions factory had worst industrial accident in Finland to date. There's now library, movie theatre etc. activities there.

"VolcanoRock" small rock festival in finland | Pentax K10D - F17-28mm Fisheye | Image taken with three seconds exposure to emphasize the movement. Then tones reduced.

"VolcanoRock" 2 | Pentax K10D - FA 50mm 1.4 | This has everything to do about feeling as a part of the crowd. Emphasize the feeling by blurring out the singer, MF

Snekka | Pentax K-7 - K135mm f2.5 | Taken at Kaustinen Folk Music festival. Image shows popular folkrock band Snekkas harmonica player. I just personally love the composition and colors. Club gig that was.

Helvetinkolu "Hellscrack" | Pentax K-7 - F 17-28mm Fisheye | Taken as I was hiking in national landscapes of Finland. I know that enfuse HDR effect is a bit overdone, but I still grew to like this photo.

Koli1 | Pentax K-7 - F 17-28mm Fisheye | National landscape of Finland. I really don't have more to add. I just love the view

Koli2 | Pentax K-7 - F 17-28mm Fisheye | National landscape of Finland. I really don't have more to add. I just love the view, polarizer works well with crop digital and 17-28mm (49mm thread, just put it there, doesnt vignette)

Koli3 | Pentax K-7 K135mm f2.5 | This kind of birch forests Finland is famous of

Koli4 | Pentax K-7 - 35mm macro ltd | Panorama stiched of 5 images with Microsoft ICE (which I found browsing this great forum )

"Macro" with K135mm | Pentax K-7 - K135mm f2.5 - 25mm extension | Just a couple snapshots how lens handles macro. just love the rendition. I have yet to test a self made adjustable extension tube which can be set anywhere between 45mm - 65mm

Like the concert ones, nicely done. Shots from Koli brought back memories, used to think the hike up, as a kid, was too looooong. Bot yes, Koli 1 displays the classic
scenery, sweet..

Cheers. Mike
