I noticed this week some colour in my backyard. My flowering shrub back there was fixin to let go pretty soon. The first 3 shots were taken Sunday and the last three yesterday (Thursday) when the blossoms started to appear. It was fairly windy yesterday so I tried to go with faster shutter speeds.

I used a Pentax K10D with either a DA12-24mm or a Tamron 90mm Di Macro. EXIF has more details.
The bush was filled with these tiny buds - it was difficult to frame an image that could capture the potential for colour contained within those little pink packages.

Thanks for your comments! I'm hoping today or tomorrow to grab a few more as this bush fills out. It's exuberance varies from year to year - this year seems pretty good.

2 more from this bush out back just taken this afternoon (Mon. May 21st). Used the DA12-24 to get more in the frame but ended up practically in the branches myself with such a wide field available. Both of these are at 19mm. Hope you enjoy.
