Sydney Airport - UWA and some butt shots
Posted By: pop4, 09-01-2009, 05:33 PM

It was gusting about 60-70km/h Sunday morning when I was out to take these shots, which made holding my camera and myself steady a bit of a challenge at times. I could see some of the smaller jets being shaken about by the winds on approach as well, it would've been fun to be on the flights :

Not a particularly good photo, but it does show three Airbus A380s: Qantas, Singapore Airlines and Emirates. I didn't even notice until I got home and was sifting though the photos

Using a Sigma 10-20mm. The aircraft are passing at about 60m overhead and are very LOUD

Ass-end of a Garuda Indonesia jet, and you can see the reflection of the runway threshold markings

Shiny silver Jetstars

Ass-end of a Qantas 744

Very nice shots pop4! You are probably the first person I know to be able to include three different A380 in a single frame!

Ciao, Freccia

And I didn't even know until I got home!
Unlike the 747, there's no distinctive upper deck hump on the A380 so if you're not paying much attention, you could sometimes miss the A380.

These are really cool - as other folks have said, Numbers 3 and 4 are especially nice.
