Love #2, especially the catchlights in its eyes! Focus is spot-on.

#4 has great texture as well.

#3 could use a little purple fringe removal on the whiskers.

Overall, a good set! Looks like fun!

Great shots. now instead of stealing yours, I need to make another trip to the Zoo (Damn) to keep my wife happy, she went nuts over your shots. Any tips?

Good job

Wonderful shots! What lens did you use on #2?

Cheers.

I think I got the PP spot on with #2...I do have to work on others a bit more. I know the first one has tremendous potential, if I can get the PP right. Thank you for the PP warning, I know something is wrong with the whiskers, I thought it was sensor pattern, I'll Try to remove PP and see.....Thanks.

Thank you for the compliments, and I am glad your wife liked it as well.

I used the FA 77 Limited and the F 135/2.8, if you need one of these, this is the time to convince your wife on it....work it man (FYI: I used the K-7 to take these as well )

Jeff, except for the first one the pthers have the exif intact. I used the Pentax FA 77mm f1.8 limited on that. Thank you.

Excellent! Right on the eyes and the Hippo with its alternating blue and grey tones is just magnificent.

Thanks....I like the hippo, but I am finding it hard to really like it...I feel like it's missing something major, but I can't put my finger on it. I love the texture, I love the color, but as a whole image something seems to be missing, but I don't know what.

The same shot with the hippo facing me would have been perfect.
