I'm Heaving On A Jet Plane
Posted By: Nowhere Matt, 09-09-2009, 02:33 PM

I am sure some of us have hoped for interesting shots taken from 30,000 feet looking out the window.
Here are a few of my recent attempts flying from Kansas City to Atlanta and then Atlanta to Richmond. But I am not clever enough to work out the exact geography so please just enjoy the images from inside the planes. All were taken with the K10 and Sigma DG 24-60 f2.8 mate.

#3's immaculate.
The B&W just adds to the detail.
Excellent stuff.

These are nice. There is no exif attached, so just curious if you remember what you used in #3 & #4?

These are great... Love the B&W wing shot.

But I really love the title of the thread! I have been in bands for almost thirty years.... Why did I not think of that!

I had heard the whispered tales
Of immortality
The deepest mystery
From an ancient book. I took a clue
I scaled the frozen mountain tops
Of eastern lands unknown
Time and Man alone
Searching for the lost --- Xanadu

Original Poster
This was by no means my first time flying but I still get excited when the airliner suddenly plunges into a cloud or when you can see another airliner flying it's straight line quickly below or to the side of yours.
My wife let me have the window seat on all four flights on those days so I just had to see what I could get. So fascinating for this earthbound kid to see as far as he can see and watch the buildings, cities, land mass flow below.
I just added some information to the original post for those interested.
