Hi. These are from Segovia; an small and quite town in Spain.
A view of the downtown

A marvellous castle called El Alcázar, one of my favourites monuments in Spain

Back of the castle, it looks like Dracula one

Inside the castle

The most popular monument in the town, the aqueduct. It was built by Roman Empire, without any cement at all, in I or II century

A charming series of images of a beautiful place. I've walked across the aqueduct in Tarragona a couple of times during my visits there; these things are truly impressive.

Again, beautiful images.

You gave me a desire to see the place. I've heard of the aqueduct--made just of stones put on top of one another. Awesome!

Thank you very much. This is one of the most important roman monuments in Spain.

Just like mine from around the world, why are tower cranes always red.

Enjoyable photos, thanks for posting.
Being a lover of history, I have been wishing I could see that acqueduct for a couple of years now... thanks for including it

I also really like the perspective of #4 - 'inside the castle'.
I can almost see that armour (with someone inside it) marching by... Some real candles and it would be awesome.

cheers,

Definately my most favorite castle in Spain. The last time I was there in '95 they were having thier Fiestas. They had a couple of bands in the Plaza Mayor, and projected the World Cup on a big screen right on the side of the Aqueduct! What a party! BTW the first pic looks tilted to the right a little, could use some straightening. The balloon makes for an added bonus. The "Dracula" one looks like it could have bats flying around (even though they're probably birds). Nice shots of a cool place.

Thank you very much. Itīs impressive to see the stones of the aqueduct that were sharp in the past and now are rounded by erosion
