Got up early this morning and went out looking for some wildlife shots. Here are a couplr I ran into. I know I have put a lot of Heron photo's up lately but I liked the dark green colors which brought out the Heron more. cheers JIM

Nice colors on the Heron Jim, and the coyote shots are really cool. I've only seen one around here and he was running

Nice shots of the coyote Jim. You have quite a talent for getting close to all these wild critters! He/she looks to be in pretty good shape too. Every one I've ever seen has looked a lot more ragged. LOL

What can I say about the heron that I havn't already said about your heron shots? Spectacular as usual.

Thanks Tom. I missed a better shot today. Couldn't get me camera out quick enough. Two minks were fighting and they were really going at it. he Coyote was watching them and trying to move in. I was walking down this trail and didn't have my camera out of the bag. won't make that mistake again. JIM

Wow - these are interesting, JIM. I especially like the mysterious look of the second one. Somehow, I think of coyotes as mythical animals that show up in stories. Neat to see photos of the real thing.

Great shots; nice to see them in a more natural environment rather than running through the neighbourhood!

I saw my first wild coyote a couple of years ago when I was on my way to work in the early morning. I saw something in the median of the interstate and thought it was a dog. As I got closer, it crossed the interstate and I saw it was a coyote. I was impressed!
