couple of unfriendly Red-Winged Blackbirds:





These guys were so close I couldn't get them all in the frame...

What lens are you shooting these photos with Tom? I know you can get close to these birds, but the detail is great, and the fact that you couldn't fit them in the frame means you where really close, or are shooting a pretty big lens, or some of both.

grateful- the lens used was my 300mm- the birds were less than 10 feet away.

Per usual Tom, fantastic shots. I think #2 is one that should be framed or better yet send it in to Birds and Blooms. I'm sure they would print it in their Mag.
