Are these two bee macros any good?

Final verdict: Not good enough.

Both images were declined by PPG.

Its all been said. The first one could be the best beee Macro I have seen on this or any other site. Well done. JIM

Thanks...just got a little frustrated with this and another of my favorite close-up's getting the boot, which IMO are better than the accepted ones.

call me crazy, but I think the flash made them super flat. They are sharp but in macro the last thing you want is a flat image.

(I am no pro by any means , but since its a forum and your asking im free to answer honestly. Still better than anything I've ever managed though )

Yeah!, a macro has to be sharp and not be flat. I didn't think my image is flat, but it may be.

You don't have to be defensive at all with your crticism, I absolutely appreciate it and I thank you very much for taking the time to help me better my skills.
