I agree with Gus, no need to ask if they are good or not. Actually, they are excellent shots. What did you use to achieve these?

I used an extension tube (a TC with the center lens element removed for a 25mm ext. tube), and the built-in flash.

These are my first attempts at TC use and macros. I see that the detail is there, but I wasn't sure whether the image is interesting as a macro. I was trying to get an image with the bee looking at me, but those images doesn't have the proper dof I wanted, either the eye is blurry, or the antennae is blurry, or exposure don't look even etc........so, I only got these with the proper exposure and dof, so not what I wanted, so I was sort of let down (it was unbelievably windy...and now I totally respect those macro shooters) thus the question.

Thank you.

Pentax F135/2.8 with a 25mm ext. tube, and built-in flash. Cropped the image a bit for the second, and a bit more for the first. The got the ext. tube with K-A connections by removing the lens element out of a crappy TC.

Seriously, I think the first one may be the sharpest bee shot I've ever seen! And I like the composition - a winner for sure!

Wow!...Josh! that sure makes me feel good. Thank you. That means I may even sit on it for a few days (tweak it as needed) and then submit to PPG. Thank you for your kind comments.

So, that's why the eyes are looking like that...so, I actually captured the reflection in the eyes, holy smokes, I absolutely LOVE the image now....it's got the interest factor now. I have to now say, it is superb capture...I am convinced.
