Oldie Goldie

About a year or so ago, I told forum members about my woes in trying to convert my older slides into digital. Many are in poor shape. This one had so many pieces of dirt and dust embedded in the emulsion, I just didn't bother to try. It was a beautiful yellow morning rise as someone walked over the bridge. I inverted the image, applied a deep red filter, and converted to IF-looking BW. It looks a bit surreal now, like a nighttime sky, but I can live with it until I find a way to clean the slide.

So, I decided to include original for comparison purposes.

Sorry Ash, I had removed the images to room for other images as I go along. I reposted if you want to have a look. More of an example of what I have to deal with to rejuvenate my slides.

Oh, thanks.
I must have missed it when you first posted.
But the first one does have that classic slide feel about it.
The B&W conversion doesn't improve on the original - first one's good as it is.
Thanks for reposting it!

The first one [color] is amazing to say the least. Completely my style, I think the dirt and dust adds character. I love it.

Will be adding it to my inspiration folder if you dont mind.
