Posted By: daacon, 09-22-2009, 03:38 PM

Take a 10 second exposure - the crew was yelling at me to get out of the middle of the road but I figured I had enough time and volia here are the results. I had at least 5 seconds to spare before the car came whizzing by

What kind of car were you facing down?

I wish I would have tried that, but I was up on the hill shooting abstract rocks, great shot, what exposure 7.1?

Well as long as you got the camera and tripod out of the way in time that's the important thing isn't it :P

Cool shot, well done.

Spectacular, oh brave one. This looks familiar, Dave. I guess you guys were on an outing. You seem to have benefited. Good work.

All in a days photography. I would suggest. The old saying "No pain, no gain!" seems to apply.
Nice result, Dave. The risk was worth it

I'm glad you got out of the way in time. Otherwise, I'd miss all your great shots, especially this one.

Thanks Jeff to tell you the truth I don't remember. It was nothing special a typical 4 door I think.

Thansk Frank I am pretty pleased with it. A note this road is a little less busy than the 101 so take care

Thansk John yeah we all roamed at different times to different places and do you have to ask (it was indeed f7.1)

Thanks JMR - indeed 7 brave souls went with Marc to Capital Reef park in Utah for a 21/2 day outing that took forever to come and went by in a heartbeat.

Great shot Dave! Now I see why I missed out: every time a car was coming, I moved off...

Everyone: Dave looked very calm the entire time the others were calling/yelling to him to clear off the road...
