Well as expected, any predisposing chest condition would be exacerbated by the plethora of dust in the air, and the most common of these would have to be asthma and COPD.
Given the pollution in the air that day was over 150x that of accepted levels, it wouldn't be unheard of to have cases of excess dust inhalation and a reactive pneumonitis (lung inflammatory response), but we may not see this for some days afterwards when patients start rolling in with worsening breathing difficulties.
