Just beyond sunset

I need to get this one in early. it's good but not as good as some as the ones coming up from some of the others from the group.

Hmm, not much crit here from me. It's a tad busy overall (with lots of trees popping up, but yet not dominating the frame), but I like that about it.

I don't like the light trails leading my eye out of the frame and competing with the main subject of the giant rock, that's the main weak point of this composition.

Great exposure, great big DOF used to good effect, great colors/contrasts.

Thanks Anthony. I do have both versions, this one and one with out the light trails. I appreciate your comments as it gives me food for thought.

Umm I think the light trails add to the shot actually it's the fist tihng I look up then off the peak. Different strokes for different folks.

John I think my version of this was me driving back to the hotel getting the spare K20D, wondering why me !!!!!! - time I got back we are all onto that lightening storm and I did not get any real good ones of that either. That was a bad few hours for me then again a bad day of photography beats a good day of work

Nicely done John. I like this one. Mine was way darker but this adds more detail. JIM
