Changing Light
Posted By: Jimbo, 09-26-2009, 12:29 PM

These photo's were shot about 1-2 minutes apart as the sun was rising and the fog was lifting. Interesting to see the slight changes in light and the way the photo turned out. I have Processed these as I normally would. Cheers. JIM

The fog just gave way to the rising sun.
Quite a marked difference in the space of a couple of minutes.
Very nice.

Yuor right Ash. The light does change very quickly thus getting there early and set up to wait for just the right light, though the fog does add interest. JIM

that's a really glorious series JIMBO, and each one is a fine picture by itself. For the record my favorite is #3, the fog is clearing enough to get a good view of the mountains, but there's still a good bit of it in the background and some wisps in the air.

Very nice.

Great series! I love how the perception of depth is different on each picture.
I love them all, but my fav is #3. It has a lot of depth and still a mysterious atmosphere

yes it changed very fast and thats also a very difficult condition to shoot in imo because if you dial in some compensation or anything like that then it might be wrong just a minute later. And that morning light that revelased itself after the fog is some of the nicest light so thats a good time to be shooting. i like the warm light coming in the last two shots the most

Great series Jim. Just goes to show you, it's all about timing, knowing your subject and having a vision to understand what weather or enviroment is going to provide for props. #3 is my favorite of the series.

Appreciate the comments Phil. # 3 does still have some low laying fog in the background which I like. JIM
